Volunteering in Cameroon

Serve with passion.

Volunteering in Cameroon isn't a checklist — it's a calling. With Passionate Unity, you'll walk hospital corridors in Limbe, sit with new mothers in Buea, and carry hope into neighbourhoods that too often feel forgotten. Whether you're joining us from Fako Division or flying in from abroad, there's a place for your hands and your heart here.

PUCA volunteers on hospital outreach in Cameroon
Why Cameroon

Where your presence changes the room.

Cameroon sits at the heart of Central and West Africa — a country of over 250 languages, resilient communities and hospitals stretched thin. In Fako Division, mothers still walk long distances to give birth, and patients recovering in wards often have no one to sit with them. A volunteer who simply shows up, listens and prays becomes a source of dignity that no supply chain can replace.

PUCA volunteers don't parachute in. We partner with local nurses, church leaders and community heads so every visit is welcomed, culturally grounded and follows up on real need. You'll leave with more than photos — you'll leave with names, stories, and a family that keeps calling to hear how you're doing.

Where you'll serve

Three ways to give your time.

Hospital outreach

Pray with patients, deliver dignity kits and stand beside medical staff at Regional Hospital Limbe, Buea District Hospital and referral centres across the South-West.

Maternal & newborn care

Equip maternity wards, prepare mother-and-baby hampers and welcome newborns with essentials so no mother arrives at labour empty-handed.

Community relief & mentorship

Distribute food, clothing and household kits to vulnerable families, and mentor young Cameroonians in skills, faith and character.

How to join

Four gentle steps from hello to hospital ward.

No CV drop. No forms to chase. Just a conversation and a slow, honest onboarding so you feel ready before you serve.

Your tangible impact

What one volunteer really changes.

One extra pair of hands in a maternity ward means a mother is held during her hardest hour.

A dignity kit delivered in person tells a patient: someone crossed town for you.

A mentorship afternoon in Limbe reshapes how a young Cameroonian sees their own future.

A community relief run in Muea puts food on a family's table this week — not next quarter.
